Frequently Asked Questions
Meditation is when the mind is relaxed, and you are inwardly focused. When you meditate, you are present and aware, and your mind is not focused on the external world or on events taking place around you. Meditation brings you into an inner state that is still so that the mind can become silent. When your mind is silent and no longer distracting you, your meditation deepens, which allows you to feel more connected to yourself. You move from “talking mode” to “listening mode” allowing you to pay attention to what is happen inside of you. It’s a kind of coming home to yourself.
Group therapy, is a process in which people come together to learn, explore and experience different tools and techniques that help them in their personal development journey.
Group therapy is so effective because it helps people to realise that their own personal stories are part of a shared human experience with others. Listening to others share their experience is a big part of the individuals healing because they begin to recognise that they are not alone in how they feel and the challenges they face. Because of this people feel more supported, more seen and more heard in their own personal development journey.

Workshop retreats are for anyone who feels stuck, lost, confused, or simply wanting to further their understandings in their present situation and obtain essential tools that help support them in taking the next step in their lives.
Find out which personal development workshop retreat is right for you.
This always depends on the individual. For some people after attending a workshop retreat they recognise a subtle shift in their personal development that gives them the insights and tools to take the next step in their lives. For others, it can be a big significant shift that expands their entire awareness towards making positive life changes. Either way, the mind stretched by new experiences can never go back to its old dimensions on your personal development journey.
Our workshop retreats are designed around 4 essential areas of our lives; Mind, Heart, Body and Spirit. We recognise that including the spiritual aspect to the work is an important part to our personal development journey. Acknowledging your intuition and your inner calling are spiritual aspects to your humanness, which we honor and integrate in all our workshop retreats.
Trauma, simply said, is too much, too soon, to fast, and I didn’t have a choice. Trauma isn’t just a car accident or a physical abuse. It’s anything that overwhelms your nervous system. Work, relationships, loss, grief, shock, painful upbringing as a child, abandonment, rejection, shame, betrayal; anything that constricted you in an experience get’s held in the body, and when not dealt with, creates all sorts of side effects as mentioned in the next question; How do I know if I have trauma?
We know we have trauma locked in the body, when we suffer from too much stress, or restlessness, or anxiety, or panic attacks, or hypertension, or we become fearful, or disconnected or even numb to feelings altogether. These are signs that the body is experiencing trauma; that something is not in balance in our nervous system because we lost our ability to relax and self-regulate due to past experiences still being held in the body.
The Fundamentals of Healing Trauma workshop offers resources that help you to self-regulate and be more resilient to handling challenges in life today.
